01 Alta Badia is in the Dolomiti NordicSki area. It's Cross Country Ski Centre is located in Saro/Armentarola, near St. Kassian. There are 25 km of cross country ski tracks which cover meadows and forests at the foot of mountain ranges - Conturines, Lavarella and Settsass. There are several skiing areas - Armentarola, Corvara, Armentara/La Val, San Cassiano.

Cross Country Ski Tracks and Routes

The cross country ski trails in this area are suitable for classic and skating. There are seven routes of varying difficulty as well as a green practice track: Sass Dlacia, Ssar, Gran Ancii, Scotoni, Settsass, Störes and Conturines.


The last four tracks are intended as race or training trails. If there is insufficient snow, there is some snow making ability.

Alta Badia Cross Country Ski Routes
  • Armentarola - Practice Slope - 0.7km

    Located in San Cassiano.

  • Sas Dlacia - 2.7 km

    The route follows through the beautiful woods of San Cassiano.

  • Saré- 2.7 km (ascent 29m descent 34m) - Blue

    The cross-country ski run is sowol suitable for classic running as well as for skating.

  • Störes - 2.4 km

    Winding through the woods of San Cassiano.


  • Scotoni - 2.5 km - (ascent 65m descent 64m)

  • Gran Ancii - 4.5 km (ascent 42 m descent 48m)

  • Sprint - 1.5 km

  • Corvara - Pescosa - 4.2 km (ascent 79m descent 79 m) Blue

    The cross country area of Corvara winds through sunny meadows and woods. The routes start at the Corvara ski school and lead to the neighbourhood of Pescosta. They are prepared for classic and skating, have little difference in elevation so are also suitable for beginners.

  • Conturines - 4.6 km

    Located in San Cassiano and meanders 

    through it's woodland area.

  • Setsas - 3 km

    Located in San Cassiano the route travels through the village's woodland area.

  • Valencia - 2.4 km - Green

    At the hamlet of La Cialciara above Furnacia, just outside the village of La Val, there is a large car park. Then you walk about 20 minutes to reach the start of the trail.


    The Armentara meadows lie at the foot of the majestic Sasso Croce in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, and provide breathtaking views  and wide expanses of  snow.


    This is the first of  three cross country skiing trails have been created in these meadows. 

  • Ciamp - 3.2 km - Blue

    At the hamlet of La Cialciara above Furnacia, just outside the village of La Val, there is a large car park. Then you walk about 20 minutes to reach the start of the trail.


    The Armentara meadows lie at the foot of the majestic Sasso Croce in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, and provide breathtaking views  and wide expanses of  snow.


    This is the second of  three cross country skiing trails have been created in these meadows.


    There are refreshments at the Ranch da André hut.


  • Sas Dla Crusc - 4 km - Red
